TWO SONGS WITHOUT WORDS for harp
Goodmusic GM490
"The Roundabout of Life" and "Certain Memories Never Fade".
People come and go on the roundabout of life, but certain memories never fade, kept alive perhaps by a nostalgic melody.
Such was the case when I rediscovered these songs and was immediately transported back to the 1970s and the years surrounding the birth of my daughter Rowena, to whom they are affectionately dedicated. I composed them whilst very much under the influence of romantic French movie music, and now, stripped of their words, they are presented as solos for my favourite instrument, the harp. Paul Lewis
Duration 7½ minutes
