Flourish for a Festival is a short but rousing piece commissioned by Founder-Director Polo Piatti to open the fourth International Composers Festival (ICF). It was premiered by the ICF Symphony Orchestra under John Andrews at the Opus Theatre, Hastings, England, on September 21st 2018.
"We'll play it at every ICF while you're alive" Polo told the composer, "because we don't allow dead composers in the festival!"
The celebratory nature of this orchestral fanfare makes it a suitable opener for any festival, concert or upbeat occasion! Paul Lewis.
